This recipe was inspired by a conversation between microbiome scientist, Raja Dhir, and Max Lugavere of The Genius Life podcast. Max Lugavere is a citizen scientist and journalist who studied up on the medicinal properties of foods after his mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The Genius Life podcast is focused on the latest health advice from some of the most insightful minds of our time. In this episode, Raja Dhir talks about the benefits of consuming pomegranate everyday for your microbiome (the good and bad bacteria that live in your gut) by enriching the bifidobacterium in your gut.
